About UTI Finding Qualified Candidates for Your Shop is Not Always Easy. That’s why DuPont Performance Coatings (DPC) and Universal Technical Institute (UTI) have teamed up to develop real world, state-of-the-art training curriculum and offer assistance in matching graduating students with people who need highly qualified technicians trained in the application of DPC products. UTI’s Collision Repair and Refinish Technology (CRRT) Program qualifies graduates as entry-level collision repair technicians equipped with the basic knowledge and skills to repair and refinish collision damaged vehicles. The CRRT program with 2 locations – Houston, TX and Sacramento, CA, offers students the critical skills they need to succeed as collision repair technicians. CRRT students receive 51 weeks/1530 clock hours of training in non-structural, structural, refinishing, estimating, plastic parts repair, and mechanical and electrical repair. In addition, CRRT graduates are DPC-credentialed and receive specialized DuPont brand training in the fundamentals of automotive refinishing. Graduates earn 10 I-CAR® Gold Class Points and have the opportunity to become Qualified I-CAR® Welders in Steel and Aluminum.
